British jewellery designer Alex Monroe set up his first South London Studio in 1986 and was named UK Jewellery Designer of the Year in 2008.
Inspired by nature Alex makes the original piece by hand in sterling silver, which gives his work its distinctive signature of such exquisite detail. His jewellery is slightly quirky, sometimes cute, but always very femine. The jewellery is both pretty and humerous, but very wearable.
The now classic Bumblebee Necklace has graced the pages of Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Instyle and many more. Celebrity followers include Sienna Miller, Lisa Snowdon, Emma Watson, Emelia Fox, Thandie Newton and Sophie Dahl.
